1.1.1 Applicants qualify for admission to Master programmes if they hold a bachelor degree from UMST or its equivalent.
1.1.2 Interview:
At Faculty and Progammes level applicants, shall be interviewed for assessment of their suitability, Knowledge and their reasonable command of English language which will enable them to study in English
1.1.3: Additional Requirements:
Faculties/Programmes may have
additional requirements regarding
admission to their programmes,
such additional requirements
shall be approved by the Graduate
College (GC).
1.2:Application for
Admission
1.2.1. Applications for admission to
graduate studies shall be submitted to
the (GC) admission officer
1.2.2 The admission officer after
screening applications shall
distribute them to pertinent faculties/
programmes.
1.2.3 At faculties and programme
level applicants who are eligible for
admission shall be recommended
by the faculty graduate committee
(FGC)/programme committee (PC)
and applications shall be sent to
Registrar of GC
1.3: Registration:
1.3.1 A student shall be registered
in graduate studies on the
recommendation of FGC/PC and
approval of the Dean of GC.
1.3.2 No student shall be allowed
to enroll in more than one

programme of study at the same
time in this University or for
another programme in another
University.
1.3.3 Each student is required to
register for the whole duration of
the programme.
1.3.4 No student is allowed to
register unless he/she has paid the
prescribed fees.

UMST established the Graduate College in 2008. It
is set up for those wishing to gain a thorough and
deep academic and professional knowledge in one
or more aspects of medical, scientific and social
