“A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the souls of its people.”
On December 17th 2016, the Nigerian students celebrated their first cultural day. The celebration included the Nigerian Embassy represented by Mr. Musa and his wife and the Dean of student Affairs Mr. Ahmed Babiker. The event was hosted by Nigerian students of different faculties (Mass Communication, Law, Computer science, Radiology, Nursing, Medicine, Economics, Business, Dentistry and Pharmacy). This eventful day lasted from 10am – 7pm, including various traditional performances by the three major tribes in Nigeria (Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo). There was also a Hausa Gada dance with a village setting, Yoruba dance, a drama about traditional royalty (talks about the power of education), with a lovely closing dance from the three tribes.
