Partial Scholarships for the Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship
University of Medical Sciences and Technology, is offering entrepreneurs in Sudan a partial scholarship for the 3rd edition of the Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship as part of its social responsibility by waiving $1,200 from the $3,200 tuition fee of the program. The tuition fee to be paid will be SDG 500,000 and can be financed by the Bank of Khartoum for 36 months. The Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship is offered in partnership with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Italy and E4 Impact Foundation, This offer will last until Saturday, the 21st of November, 2020. In addition, the deadline for the application of scholarships awarded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation for the female entrepreneurs is the 7th of November, 2020. The First Boot Camp will start on Monday, 14th December, 2020.
UMST and the Control of Onchocerciasis (River Blindness) in the Sudan
The University of Medical Sciences & Technology has contributed to the health promotion of Sudanese people, not only by first class research in neglected tropical diseases but also in implementation of control of these diseases in Sudan and especially in South Sudan before separating from the Sudan.

Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship: Financial Model Pitch
The Financial Mid-Boot Camp of the Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship, UMST Khartoum Campus, was taught online by Prof.Amir Tawfik from E4-Impact /UCSC, Milan. The structure of the Camp was 3 weeks: 2 weeks of online sessions on financial planning, and 1 week of ongoing coaching.
The Camp has ended with the Financial Model Pitch, which was held on Saturday, 26th of September, 2020 at the Global Conference Center (GCC), UMST. During the event, the E4-Impact Entrepreneurs have presented their Financial Models in front of a jury of financial experts and professors who provided them with constructive feedback on their financial models. The entire process went smoothly and was highly productive.

Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Community Mental Health
To coincide with the World Mental Health Day, the Sudan Education & Development Institute (SEDI) at the University of Medical Sciences and Technology organized on October 10th, 2020 at the Global Conference Center, a symposium to discuss the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on Community Mental Health. The main speakers of the events were Dr. Mohamed Ali Siddig, HMC, Qatar, Prof. Fath Al Alim Mohamed Abdelrahim, UMST and Dr. Mohamed El Hassan Khalid also of UMST. The four paradigms of the Symposium were: Global Perspectives, Global Impact, Clinical Presentations and the Impact on Mental Health Services.
The symposium which proved highly relevant and well attended captivated the audience which was composed of UMST top Management, Deans of Faculties, lecturers and students, both graduate and undergraduate, and was also attended by distinguished guests from outside the University.
Despite the scientific specialized nature of the issues raised, the speakers managed to maintain the attention of the audience, who were obviously impressed by the scope and quality of the presentations
