UMST University’s Dr. Ikram Mohammed Eltayeb Elsiddig, Assistant Professor from the Faculty of Pharmacy gave an oral presentation at the 16th NAPRECA symposium on Natural Products ( NAPRECA) held in Arusha, Tanzania from August 31 to September 3, 2015.
Her paper was titled ‘A comparative studies of the antimicrobial activities of the extracts and fractions of root, leaf and stem of Anogeissus leiocarpous growing in Sudan against seven microorganisms’.
The paper will be published in the Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry.
Dr. Elsiddig said of the event: “It provided me with a valuable opportunity to share the ideas with the other regional researchers and with the invited researchers from universities around the world.”
During the closing ceremony certificates were distributed by the conference committee to all participants.
Dr. Elsidig will also present at 17th International Conference on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants to beheld in Penang, Malaysia during December 3-4, 2015 a paper, titled ‘In vitro Susceptibility of Madurella mycetomatis to the Extracts of Anogeissusleiocarpus Leaves’.
The high-impact conference papers shall be considered for publication in the special journal issues at http://waset.org/Publications.
Two UMST graduate students, Samar Saadeldin Abdelmotalab Omer and Hiba T Allah ALtieb Gusm ALsied, who worked ON their graduate projects at the Pharmacognosy Department under the supervision of Professor. Saad Mohamed Hussein Ayoub and Dr. Ikram Mohamed Eltayeb Elsiddig will also present the results of their graduation projects orally at the 17th International Conference on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants held in Penang, Malaysia during December 3-4, 2015.
The two papers are titled:
