في الثامنة صباح اليوم السبت الموافق 17 فبراير انطلق ماراثون مؤتمر سرطان الثدي الذي تنظمه جامعة العلوم الطبية والتكنولوجيا ومؤسسة صلاح ونسي لأبحاث ومكافحة السرطان وشرف الجلسة الافتتاحية مساعد رئيس الجمهورية اللواء ركن عبد الرحمن الصادق المهدي
ونوه بروفيسور مامون حميدة وزير الصحة بولاية الخرطوم الى ضرورة الكشف المبكر، معتبرا أن سرطان الثدي من الأمراض التي يمكن علاجها فى أوربا بنسبة تصل 90 % وأفريقيا 60% بينما السودان 40% نسبة للجهل بمعرفة المرض، وأن بين كل ثلاث إصابات سرطان وسط النساء توجد بينهما حالة واحدة لسرطان الثدي، ويأتي المؤتمر لزيادة المعرفة ونشر ثقافة الكشف المبكر لرفع نسبة الشفاء من خلال الورش التى ستقدم
كما تم تنظيم الورش التوعوية في مركز المؤتمرات العالمي بجامعة العلوم الطبية والتكنولوجيا وقاعة مامون بحيري بالصحافة شرق ومركز مبادرات بالملازمين امدرمان

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in our upcoming 2nd International conference on breast cancer, which will be held in Khartoum, Sudan from the 17th – 25th of February 2018 under the theme “New Trends, Innovation and Management of Breast Cancer 2011-2018”.
The conference will be organized by the University of Medical Sciences & Technology (UMST) and Salah Wanasi Foundation for Cancer Research and Control in collaboration with others including Breast Surgery International Society (BSI)-Switzerland, the Khartoum Breast Care Centre – (KBCC), Barts Health NHS Trust –UK and all of the relevant Sudanese professional societies. The conference will focus on bringing together experts from around the globe, who have experience and interest in Breast Cancer.
The conference convenes at a time when breast cancer is becoming a major health problem in Sudan. The principle objective is to shed light on the most up-to-date accomplishments made in the research and management of breast cancer and new technologies in the field of early detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
The conference provides a unique opportunity to bring together stakeholders from government, academia and grassroots organizers to share practical solutions towards the achievement of more sustainable and inclusive polices regarding breast cancer in Sudan, the region at large.
We would be delighted to have you present at this conference to hear your views and get them shared with renowned specialists from all over the world. The conference is being held at the Friendship Hall on the 24th-25th of February, 2018.

Conference Goals and Purpose
1.To bring together a multidisciplinary team of the relevant Scientists and Clinical & Nursing professionals involved in all aspects of breast cancer research and management.
2.To provide a platform for the regional breast cancer scientist and researcher to present their scientific work and share their experiences
3.To establish sustainable joint regional and international collaborative research projects and networking to advance knowledge and developing new therapies in the field

The international conference is directed towards a broad audience including scientists, clinicians, trainees and students, patient representatives and health professionals of diverse profiles who are involved in matters facing breast cancer patients throughout their journey.
