In its meeting no. 08/2017 the Senate discussed businesses from Faculty Boards of Pharmacy, Engineering, Nursing Sciences, Radiological Science, Economic, Social & Environmental Studies, Mass Communication, Computer Science and IT, Business Administration, Anesthesia, Law and Graduate College.
Following the President’s introductory remarks, the Deans of the above-mentioned Faculties presented results of the relevant Batches with specific references to the following:
- Total Number of students who passed all through.
- Those who will sit for supplementary exams.
- Names of those who have performed best in each specialization and were subsequently eligible to be awarded prizes.
The dominant feeling shared by the Deans was that of satisfaction with the overall performance of their students.
Despite the overwhelming atmosphere of amicability, the External Examiners were methodical in their approach, critical in their probing, analytical in their findings and they invariably demonstrated keen interest in both the present and future of the university. And in tandem with the Deans they presented their reports stating their approval of the examinations methods and procedure, and accentuating their endorsement of the overall performance of the students who performed to a level that compares favorably with their counterparts at the best universities in Egypt, K.S.A. and even the United Kingdom. Nevertheless, with various degrees of emphasis, they beseeched the university not to rest on its laurels, and argued that there is still room for improvement. Towards realizing that objective a whole host of invaluable recommendations were put forward. On their part the Deans confirmed that all recommendations will be taken on board.
The Senate then approved the above-mentioned results, as submitted.
