MSc Information Systems
The degree is aimed at utilising Computer Science in Business, Geographical and Medical fields. Therefore, the program offers the following three areas of specialisation:
- Business Information Systems (BIS)
The programme combines the fundamental content of both Computer Science and Business Management, to prepare graduates to combine business enterprise with computing expertise. It is designed for students seeking to acquire a high level of knowledge of business concepts and information systems applications to create solutions for contemporary business problems.
- Health and Medical Informatics (HMI)
Health and medical informatics is the application of principles of computer and information science to the effective organization, analysis, management, and use of information in health care. It addresses the growing need for professionals who need to possess both analytical skills and business acumen with the goal of improving health care delivery systems through information technology.
- Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing (GIS)
The Geographical Information System and Remote Sensing (GIS) have become key technology tools for the collection, storage and analysis of spatially referenced data. The programme provides the high-quality education needed to meet the needs of users of geo-technology. Students will gain a high level of competency in the principles of GI science and the use of geo-technology; they will be able to routinely use professional software for data acquisition, handling, exploration and mapping.
