Italian Ambassador Visits UMST to Initiate Partnership

UMST was visited by  the Italian Ambassador to Khartoum on December 3, 2017 to discuss an initiative to forge a partnership between UMST and an Italian university.
The ambassador was accompanied by two professors from E4Impact Foundation of Universita’ Cattolica of Milan, the largest private university in Europe.
The purpose of the visit, which was preceded by preliminary meetings between staff from the Italian Embassy and the Faculty of Business Administration, was to meet with UMST Administration to introduce the unique Master of Business Administration in Impact Entrepreneurship program which is promoted and developed by E4Impact Foundation and executed by a series of Partner Universities in Africa.
UMST was chosen by the Italian Embassy as the best potential partner to introduce and execute this program in Sudan. The meeting was chaired by the President of UMST and attended by the Director of Academic Affairs, the Deans of Medicine and Business administration and a number of academic staff. Professor F. Petroni, Director of Programs in E4Impact Foundation gave a brief presentation of the MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship program which was followed by questions and comments by UMST staff.
UMST’s President, Professor Hassan Mohammed Ahmed welcomed the opportunity for partnership with Universita’ Cattolica of Milan and suggested that another meeting should be held between the team from E4Impact Foundation and the Faculty of Business Administration to discuss the details of the program and its prospects.
