Electronic Engineering (Communication)
The Master of Science program in Electronic Engineering Communication is an interdisciplinary course of studies, which should provide students with scientific knowledge, skills and methods in the field of Electronic Engineering Communication, leading to a scientific qualification and autonomy in the field of Electronic Engineering.
The main objective of the course is to educate students in the rapidly growing area of Communications Engineering to undertake responsible and challenging posts in academia and industry.
The objectives are that, upon completion, the students will have developed:
- The ability to gather, organize and critically evaluate information needed to formulate and solve problems;
- The ability to apply acquired knowledge effectively and efficiently to all work in the relevant areas of Engineering;
- Skills in qualitative and quantitative oral and written communications designed to present essential scientific and technical concepts;
- Abilities in observation, measurement and the design and conduct of experiments through practical experience in the laboratory;
- The ability to display initiative and innovation, demonstrated in a major item of individual work;
- The ability to work collaboratively with others through the development of team skills;
- The ability to apply advanced techniques to problems at the frontiers of knowledge;

- A deep knowledge and advanced understanding in specialist areas;

M.Sc. Electronic – Communication course covers the key areas of wireless and wired networks and protocols, Advanced Digital Signal processing, antenna design and Research methodology. In addition to the technical background provided in these subjects, hands-on experience is gained through a major individual Research and Development project, and a supporting laboratory programme.
