UMST Faculty of Engineering staff member and head of Biomedical Engineering Department, Dr Mazin Sirry, has recently received the prestigious Iso Lomso Fellowship for Early Career African Researchers.
UMST, in collaboration with Ibn Sina Hospital, is carrying a campaign to vaccinate all children at Ed Babiker Khelwa who are negative for Hepatitis B virus with the vaccines. The number of pupils at Ed Babiker Khelwa is around 1200 pupils, and their age ranges from 6 years to 23 years; they are mainly from Darfur states.
